SonicShield Upgradable
SonicShield systems are now fully upgradable, allowing additional transducers to be added to your system
Development continues to roll on at CMS Marine with the UK based company now offering the ability to upgrade there SonicShield systems.
Within the latest hardware update whereby CMS Marine added transducer monitoring to the list of repertoire’s hosted within the intelligent power monitoring system, all of there systems can have transducers added to them without the need for a software update. On startup the SonicShield control unit enters an automatic teaching mode, during this mode the system will learn how many transducers are connected to the system and set the software accordingly. To add a transducer the system is reset and the additional transducer is added to any available spare transducer port. When reactivated the system will add this new transducer to the software allowing customers the ability to purchase a SonicShield system in the knowledge it is future proofed against any changes that may occur.
For example a customer with a boat of <10M LWL would require a SonicShield II systems, if they subsequently upgrade to a larger boat they can simply purchase an additional transducer and add it to there current control box.
Customers in high fouling areas may also elect to add a dedicated transducer to an engine intake, further improving the usefulness of the SonicShield system.
